The Beginning

Welcome to my brand-spanking-new, first ever blog!

Now, I know that I have lived here in Buenos Aires for 3 months now, so it’s not like this is the true beginning of my Argentine Adventure. I have seen and done and photographed and eaten enough to fill a few pages worth of posts. It is, however, the beginning of my desire to record these experiences.

There are two people instrumental in me starting this enterprise:

Fernando has encouraged me for several years to write. I’ve never had much desire to write for public critique, but I can’t deny that frequent writing begets better results. One has to work with a craft to excel at it. Fer is also the one who created my account and named this blog, as heaven knows I would have procrastinated indefinitely. I thank him for that push, even though I am pretty sure he took advantage of my boredom and gave me a project to jump into just so that I would quit harassing him.

Lisa is a lovely gal and a former coworker of mine who has just landed in South Africa for an internship. She started her blog to record her weeks of service and experiences there, and subsequently inspired me to try out this process, too. She has made me remember how small and close the world can be, no matter how people are spread across this orb. I wish her the best of luck, and encourage everyone to follow and support her endeavors!

I beg that everyone be patient with me while I figure out how to formulate interesting and coherent posts and operate this very simple publisher. I have faith that my posts will get better with time, and that my site will continue to grow and evolve.

So, we begin.
